It takes some work finding the right SUV. This is why we want to make thing easier for you. Check out this comparison of the Mazda CX-30 and Jeep® Compass:
Power
For a smaller SUV, you may be pleasantly surprised at the pick-me-up in the Mazda CX-30. It comes standard with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 186 horsepower and 186 lbs.-ft. of torque. The other engine choice is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that will give you 250 horsepower and 320 lbs.-ft. of torque. The Jeep Compass only has one engine: a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder unit that puts out 180 horsepower and 175 lbs.-ft. of torque.
Tech
The Mazda CX-30 comes with many standard tech features. These include:
· Android Auto™
· Apple CarPlay®
· Two USB ports
· Bluetooth
· A Wi-Fi hot spot
· An eight-speaker stereo
· Voice recognition
Satellite radio, a 12-speaker BOSE® stereo, and wireless device charging are a few of the available features. The stereo in the Jeep Compass only has six speakers. Plus, you’d need to upgrade to get a Wi-Fi hot spot.
Safety
There’s really no comparison when it comes to the safety features found in these two SUVs. The only notable component in the Jeep Compass is a rearview camera. The Mazda CX-30 comes with that, along with all of these:
· Forward-collision warning
· Lane-departure warning
· Automatic high-beam headlights
· Lane-keep assist
· Driver attention monitoring
· Pedestrian detection
· Low-speed automatic emergency braking
· Rain-sensing windshield wipers
· Adaptive cruise control
If those aren’t enough, you can also get adaptive headlights, a surround-view parking camera, and rear cross-traffic alert.
A road test can help seal the deal, and you can take the Mazda CX-30 out for a drive around Springfield at Green Mazda.
